This Privacy Policy explains how SeeCircles ("SeeCircles," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, retains, and transfers your information when you use the SeeCircles mobile application and related services (the "Service"), and the rights and choices you have. SeeCircles is a crowd-sourced, location-based platform for recording and sharing short videos, broadcasting and watching live streams, discovering nearby content and events, finding other users near you, and earning and spending in-app credits/tokens. The Service is operated by SeeCircles. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. What information do we collect?

Information and content you provide

  • Account and profile details: name, username/handle, email, password, profile photo.
  • Content you create: recorded videos, live streams, titles/captions, comments and chat messages.
  • Reports and support requests you submit, and your communications with us.
  • Your social connections — users you add to "My Circle," and your interactions with them.

Your activity on the Service

Content you view, validate/rate, stream, share, or report; searches; events and notifications you engage with; and interactions with other users.

Location information

With your permission, we collect precise GPS location. SeeCircles is location-based: location places your content on the map, surfaces nearby events and users, positions pins in Eye Scan mode, and tags your videos and live streams. During a live stream, location is captured continuously for the duration of the broadcast.

Camera, microphone, and media

With your permission, we access your camera and microphone to record videos, broadcast live streams, and run Eye Scan mode (a camera viewfinder positioned by GPS and device heading — not facial recognition).

Device and technical information

Device model, operating system and version, app version, device identifiers, language, and network/connection information.

Payment and transaction information

Purchases of credits/tokens or subscriptions are processed by Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers; we receive transaction confirmations and records needed to credit your wallet and maintain purchase history.

2. How do we use your information?

We use your information to:

  • Create, secure, and manage your account.
  • Provide core features: the map, video upload and viewing, live streaming, Events, Eye Scan discovery, My Circle, chat/comments, and notifications.
  • Show relevant nearby content, events, and users based on your location.
  • Operate the credits/token economy (earning, spending, purchases, subscriptions).
  • Verify and score content quality (including automated "confidence scoring") and maintain platform integrity.
  • Keep the Service safe — review reported content, moderate live streams, and act on policy violations.
  • Send notifications about live streams, events, interactions, and account/transaction activity.
  • Respond to your support requests and communicate about the Service.

3. How is your information shared on SeeCircles or with integrated partners?

With other users (public nature of content)

SeeCircles is a sharing platform. Videos and live streams you publish — along with their location, your username, and profile photo — are visible to other users, including those near the content's location and within event zones. Comments and chat are visible to participants. Consider this before sharing or streaming from sensitive locations.

Location-based visibility

When location is enabled, your presence may appear to other users (for example, as a pin in Eye Scan or a node on the map). You can control this through permissions and preferences (see Section 6).

Integrated event partners

Event listings on the map are sourced from third-party providers (such as TicketMaster, SeatGeek, and NewsAPI). We receive event data from them to display events; we do not share your personal information with them for this purpose.

4. How do we share information with partners, vendors, and third parties?

  • Service providers/vendors: we share information with trusted vendors who help operate the Service (for example, cloud hosting and push-notification delivery), under obligations to protect it.
  • Payment platforms: purchases are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies.
  • Business transfers: if SeeCircles is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. How do we retain information?

We keep information only as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Published videos and ended live streams are generally retained for a limited viewing window (currently up to 48 hours) before expiry, after which they are removed from public view. Account, transaction, and moderation records may be retained longer where required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or safety reasons. When you delete your account, we remove or de-identify your personal information except where retention is legally required.

6. How do you exercise your rights and choices?

  • Permissions: grant or revoke camera, microphone, and location access anytime in device settings; revoking limits related features.
  • Notifications: disable push per category in Settings; in-app notifications may still appear in your Notification Center.
  • Access, correction, deletion: you can view and edit your profile, delete content you posted, and request access to or deletion of your personal information, subject to retention rules.
  • Account deactivation/deletion: request deactivation or deletion of your account at any time. To exercise any of these, use the in-app settings or contact us (Section 11).

7. How do we transfer information?

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than where you live, including where we and our service providers operate. Where information is transferred internationally, we take steps to protect it consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

8. How do we respond to legal requests, prevent harm, and promote safety and integrity?

We may access, preserve, and disclose information to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, enforce our Terms, prevent fraud or abuse, and protect the rights, property, and safety of users, the public, and SeeCircles.

Content moderation: we review reported content, may place streams or videos under review, and may remove content or restrict accounts that violate our policies. Where reports reach defined thresholds, streams may be ended and content withheld pending review.

Restricted-event live-streaming alert: for certain events, live streaming is restricted (for example, for rights, security, or privacy reasons). SeeCircles alerts and notifies users that live streaming is not permitted for restricted events and blocks the start of a live stream within a restricted event zone; a stream that enters such a zone may be stopped automatically. Users are responsible for complying with these alerts and with any venue or legal restrictions at their location.

9. How do we operate and transfer data as part of our global services?

SeeCircles operates globally. To provide the Service, we transfer, store, and process information in the countries where we and our service providers maintain facilities, applying safeguards consistent with this Policy and applicable law regardless of where information is processed.

10. How will we notify you of changes?

We may update this Policy from time to time. For material changes we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the Service. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
